Why rezum
REZUM, Water Vapor Therapy
The Rezum system uses water vapor therapy to treat BPH. The procedure involves injecting steam into the prostate tissue, causing the immediate cell death and the prostate to shrink over time.
During the Rezum procedure, a small device is inserted into the urethra, and the steam is delivered via the small needle to the prostate tissue. The number of needle treatments depends on how big your prostate is and the whole treatment may take only 10-15 minutes. This targeted application of steam helps to reduce the size of the prostate, relieving pressure on the urethra and improving urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and difficulty starting or maintaining a steady stream.
Rezum is considered a minimally invasive treatment option for BPH and is often performed on an outpatient basis. It is an alternative to more traditional treatments for BPH, such as medication or surgery.
BNH is providing Rezum at fixed cost of 200,000 THB.

Rezum Water Vapor Therapy is performed under light sedation and most patients report just experiencing minor discomfort during the procedure. The most unpleasant part reported is when patients have to wear catheter 07-10 days after the procedure. However, several options including taking pain killer medicine will be suggested by our Urologists to help you to relieve the irritant feeling.
Since Rezum was shown its effectiveness for large number of BPH patients, it was approved by US FDA in 2015 and also added in American Urological Association – AUA treatment guideline. Hence, most insurances approve treatment for enlarged prostate patients with Rezum.
However, at BNH our team will assist to verity a patient’s eligibility and insurance benefits before the patients get treatment.
